Seattle, WA. On Wednesday, March 28, 2012, the Port of Seattle Police Department executed a 12-month agreement for Miller Mendel’s background investigation software system known as “eSOPH”. The Port of Seattle PD intends to process at least 30 police department applicants within 12-months, using eSOPH.
The transition project was led by Port of Seattle Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division Acting Commander Brian Drake.

The Port of Seattle Police Department provides the primary law enforcement service to the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and the Seaport. The Department was created in 1972 and currently consists of 108 commissioned police officers and 33 non-commissioned personnel. The Port police are the primary first responders for all reported crimes and incidents within its jurisdiction, according to Port of Seattle sources.
