Vancouver Police Department looks to eSOPH to help process pre-employment background investigations quicker and more efficiently.

Vancouver, WA.  On Wednesday, May 13, 2015, representatives from the City of Vancouver executed a 12-month license agreement for the police department to use eSOPH, Miller Mendel’s background investigation software system. The Vancouver Police Department is currently recruiting to fill multiple police officer vacancies and intends to process at least 100 pre-employment background investigations for various positions within the 12-month period of the eSOPH license.

Before making a purchase a decision, the Vancouver Police Department participated in a trial period to evaluate eSOPH. During the trial period, police department background investigators conducted several background investigations on applicants using eSOPH. Investigators and management personnel were able to see many benefits in using the system, to include “major time savings” in processing reference checks.

On behalf of the Vancouver Police Department, the eSOPH transition project was led Commander Dave King and Sergeant Dave Henderson.
