St. Helens, OR. The annual July 4th fireworks show from Sand Island in St. Helens, Oregon is an important part of Columbia County’s history. In a small, rural community of under 53,000 residents countywide, it’s events like the St. Helens fireworks show that embrace community and allow people to gather locally in their hometown to celerbrate historical events like Independce Day.
Miller Mendel’s President & CEO Tyler Miller grew up in Columbia County and to this day, calls Columbia County home. Miller has been an avid volunteer in the community and served as a reserve deputy sheriff for the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office for six years. When Miller heard the fireworks show was underfunded this year, he contacted the city’s event coordinator to help sponsor and make the fireworks show another memorable Independence Day celebration for local Columbia County residents.
